Webcast details:

This two-hour professional development webcast explores Queen Bee Syndrome within the ASL interpreting field — a workplace dynamic in which established professionals may undermine, exclude, or withhold support from colleagues, particularly those who are newer to the profession.

Participants will be able to:

  • Define Queen Bee Syndrome and identify at least 6 specific behaviors that characterize this dynamic in ASL interpreting settings

  • Analyze and evaluate the impact of these dynamics on professional development, service quality, and community relationships through structured assessment exercises.

  • Create and defend evidence-based solutions including personal behavior modifications, mentorship protocols, and community intervention strategies

This training offers valuable insights and tools to promote a healthier, more inclusive interpreting community.
